The Press Lounge at Ink48 Hotel
Yesterday, I went to The Press Lounge, located in Midtown West on 48th and 11th.
The Press Lounge is the rooftop lounge on top of Ink48 hotel, and has some of the most amazing views Manhattan has to offer. Despite being on the pricey side, The Press Lounge is one of the best rooftops I have been to in the City. Another slight turnoff, aside from the drink prices, is that we seemed to be the only English speaking guests at the bar, which I learned is because the Hotel is a hot-spot for international tourists who make up much of the customer base.
Along with “The Press Lounge,” Ink48 Hotel also has the esteemed restaurant PRINT, located on the first floor of the building.
Noticing a theme here? Ink, Press, Print…well that is because the Hotel is actually a former printing house. The entire hotel has been themed around the building’s history, playing off the elements of print, news, and the publishing industry. Their signature slogan “make a mark” has inspired design and photography around the print-house theme.
