A definite list favorite! The BIG Piano at FAO Schwarz, famous for its awesome-ness and for being featured in the movie BIG! Today I lined up with 20 other 5 year olds to have my go on the piano. It was awesome. While my friend was checking out with a particularly adorable fuzzy bear, I was talking to the store clerk who informed me that FAO Schwarz is the oldest American toy store, founded in 1862. He also told me that the FAO featured in BIG was actually at a different store location across the street. In 1986 the flagship store moved to it’s current location at 58th and 5th.
